Wayne Hospital Department of Surgery
Wayne Hospital is pleased to offer a wide range of surgical procedures for the convenience of the members of our community.
We have physicians on staff who can provide services for general surgery, laparoscopic surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, orthopedic surgery, ear, nose and throat surgery, urology and eye surgery.
Our nursing staff is trained to care for infants, children and adults. We require basic CPR training, ACLS and PALS certification to insure safe, quality care for all our patients.
Working as a team with our anesthesia staff, we can do many of these procedures with local anesthesia and sedation, so our patients can return home and back to normal activities as quickly as possible.
In addition, our anesthesia staff will provide general anesthesia and spinal or epidural anesthesia based on the type of surgery performed and the desires of the patient. After the completion of the surgery, our patients spend time in our Post Anesthesia Care department where they are carefully monitored for comfort, stability of vital signs and preparedness to return to their room.
