NUTRITION SERVICES DEPARTMENT

The Department of Nutrition Services has more than one function to offer the patient in need of nutrition intervention. Areas where a patient may utilize our clinical skills are: diabetes; cardiac rehabilitation; weight management; oncology; pregnancy and lactation; enteral and parental feeding; and other restricted diets. Another area a patient may utilize this department is public speaking, teaching and education. Our department can provide topics that would fit the general population group you wish to reach, and develop inservice training.

As you well know, the Department of Nutrition Services provides the meals your Doctor has requested to meet your basic needs. The basic diets we use are: Regulars. Softs. Sodium Restrictions, Cardiac, and Diabetic. You may even have a combination of several of these diets. Education to these diets and combinations is available as an inpatient or scheduled outpatient.

Another service provided is MEALS ON WHEELS - meals delivered to people in our community who are in need of assistance.

Meal service is available in the dining room from 6:30 to 8:30 a.m. for breakfast, Monday through Friday, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for lunch, and 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. for supper. Vending service is available 24 hours a day.
