Admissions/Billing
REGISTRATION
What does registration involve? Registration involves entering patient demographic information into the computer terminal. Demographic information includes patient's name, address, telephone number, social security number, nearest relative, guarantor information, employment information, the patient's physician and the reason for the visit to the hospital. This information is needed on all registrations - emergency room, inpatient and outpatient visits.
If you have ever been registered at Wayne Hospital you have noticed that a request is made for your insurance cards. Copies are made of the cards, and the copies are used for making calls for insurance verification and pre-certification, which many insurances are requiring. The billing department also utilizes the copies of the insurance cards for correct insurance address and additional information that is not recorded on the admission record.
The Registration Department is available from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. in the main lobby. The Emergency Room Registration Department is available 24 hours a day. If you have any questions concerning registration, please contact us at 937- 547-5705.
